Carbon Source Feeding System

Carbon Source Feeding System

Product Introduction
There is a common problem of insufficient carbon sources for denitrification in urban sewage in China. Insufficient carbon sources have become an important factor restricting the efficiency of biological ammonia removal. When selecting external carbon sources for sewage treatment plants, not only should their economic costs and benefits be considered, but also the safety of the carbon source itself and the actual effective residence time in the biological tank should be taken into account.

Details
The denitrification process of urban sewage treatment plants mainly includes anoxic tanks, denitrification filters, etc., which enable ammonia nitrogen to undergo nitrification and produce denitrification. Denitrification occurs in the above process sections to produce N2 for denitrification purposes. The carbon source inherent in sewage can generally meet the requirements of denitrification, but to meet high emission standards, it is usually necessary to add an external carbon source. The external carbon source added is usually acetic acid or sodium acetate, and the addition method is mainly constant. It is manually adjusted according to the treatment effect. Often, due to fluctuations in water quality and quantity, TN exceeds the standard and the amount added is too large.
By setting up an organic connected inlet online flow meter, control device, feedforward nitrate nitrogen online instrument, feedback nitrate nitrogen online instrument, variable frequency dosing pump, and dosing flow meter, it is possible to achieve NO3 as the control variable based on the denitrification system. Through feedforward and feedback control of carbon source dosing, the problem of delayed adjustment of the denitrification system caused by fluctuations in water quantity and quality, as well as the disturbance of the system caused by large fluctuations and delays and the impact of system delays on TN stability and compliance, can be effectively solved. This system and method can reduce the dosage of carbon source dosing and significantly reduce operational intensity.
